NARO-MORU ROUTE SAS- K- 512 This route leads to the Tereki Valley and is shortest way to the peaks.From opposite Naro-Moru police station,a well sign posted roadheads in 17km to the Mt.Kenya National park entrance.A further 9km of good but a very steep tracks leads to the Mets as the station camp (3050m) then a steep marshy section known as the vertical Bog is reached one hour from Met station.The path then contours along the right hand side of the Tereki Valley.Keeping high and then gradually descending to pass Naro-Moru stream to Mackinders camp (4300).Austrian camp can be reached in 3-4 hours |
