SIRIMON ROUTE SAS – K- 510

This route provides the easiest and most scenic access to the northern side of the central peaks. From the main road, a sign posted track leads 9 km to the national park gate 2660 m.4 km past the gate at 2900 m, a series of steep gradient begin. Most cars can continue a further 5 km to the Old Moses camp 3300 m.The track continues from the camp over the moorland past a 3659 M rain gauge. A signpost showing the direct route to Shiptons camp is visible to Ontulili River. After climbing over the ridge beyond the Likii north valley the trail drops down on to Mackinders valley and contours along the ridge, it eventually crosses the main Likii stream to reach some rock over hangs known as Shiptons caves. Shipton is 1 KM from this over hangs.
