TOUR CODE SAS 24 - 8 DAYS - L. TURKANA VIA CHALBI DESERT

Day 1:   Nairobi - Samburu

Depart Nairobi in the morning heading north via the shoulder of Mt. Kenya to Samburu Game Reserve. Game viewing en route to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2:   Samburu

Day spent game viewing in the park. All meals and overnight in the camp.

Day 3:   Samburu - Marsabit

Head north along the Trans-African highway to Marsabit, an extinct volcano. Set up camp ad visit the lodge nearby, weather permitting visit lake paradise.

Day 4:   Marsabit - Kalacha

On our way to Kalacha visit a volcanic crater. Camp in Kalalcha a small settle settlement on the edge of the Chalbi desert.

Day 5:   Kalacha - L. Turkana

Depart early and cross the Chalbi desert to arrive in your camp in L. Turkana in the early afternoon.

Day 6:   L. Turkana

Full day in L. Turkana. Optional visit to a settlement or a Manyatta for traditional dances.

Day 7:   L. Turkana - Maralal

Journey via South Horr and Baragoi to Maralal. Dinner and overnight in your camp.

Day 8:  Maralal - Nairobi

Head south via Laikipia plains abd Thomsons falls and drive back to Nairobi for the end of your tour.
